1928 $10.00 FRN “GUTTER-FOLD”

FR-2000-F 1928 Series Ten Dollar Federal Reserve note coming from the Atlanta District. F00069240A. A gutter fold error strikes from the left side and down to the corner of the note. Almost looks like a butterfly error. Third party graded P.M.G #45EPQ. Extra fine to About Uncirculated with exceptional paper quality. One of the nicest ones we have to offer.

 

Rare to come across yes. You would figure on seeing these more often. Not the case. Usa Rare has sold 4 of these in the last 27 years on 28 series FRNS. They do not come up for sale often. Recently we have acquired a small collection of them. Just think of some of the first Federal Reserve notes being offered with paper flaws on the sheets.
