Description

FR-2220-F 1928 Series Five Thousand Dollar Federal Reserve note coming from the Atlanta District. Serial #F00000038A. Comparing the 1928 Series to 1934 shows a big difference in how many exist. According to the Jhon E Cash Census, there are a total of #32 1928 Series $5000.00 FRNS vs 1934 Series having #192. The note we are offering has a low serial number #38, it’s been third-party graded P.C.G.S#40, Extra-Fine, “Minor Restoration” commented on the holder. Which seems to be common among circulated $5000.00’s. It has a bold-face print and looks better than the grade it’s been issued. Hard to tell where any restoration is located? If you’re looking for a mid-grade
$5000.00, this one has great eye appeal, is priced very modest, and it’s a 1928 Series.  High Denominations have been on the rise in the last few years. With uncirculated examples hitting over the $400,000.00 mark, we don’t see why this one will not sell fast.
