This note shows strong embossing, bright original paper, sharp inks, and excellent color, with only a few light paper pinches keeping it firmly in the Choice Uncirculated grade.
The Dark Green Seal variety of the early 1928A series is significantly tougher than later issues, and high‑grade Kansas City examples are especially elusive. PMG reports only six notes at the 64EPQ level, with just one graded higher—a remarkably small population for any early small‑size $50 DGS note. The last public offering was a P.C.G.S #40 NO Q, which sold for $500 on eBay.com in 2023.
