This 1953A Series $2 Legal Tender carries one of the toughest fancy serial formats you’ll ever see on a red seal: A55553333A — a DOUBLE QUAD. Four 5’s followed immediately by four 3’s. Early‑series Legal Tenders almost never surface with extreme fancy structures, and double quads are practically unheard of on 1953A notes. These were printed in small runs, circulated heavily, and almost none survived with premium eye appeal.
