Description

1999 $10 FRN • FULL PACK • BL00000301A–BL00000400A

San Francisco District • Third Pack Issued • BEP‑Banded • Choice/Gem Uncirculated

A rare opportunity to acquire a fully intact, original BEP‑banded 100‑note pack of 1999 Series $10 Federal Reserve Notes from the San Francisco District (L‑12) — serials BL00000301A through BL00000400A. This is the third pack issued for the district, pulled directly from a sealed brick at the Los Angeles Federal Distribution Center.

USARARE originally obtained the first pack of this series BL(00000001–00000100) A from a West Coast dealer in 2005, and that same year secured the first $20 FRN BL00000001A–100 on the East Coast. Both #1 packs were broken and paired into matched sets. This pack is the untouched sibling—the third off the press—kept exactly as it was issued. A collector back then picked up this BL00000301A-401A pack from the same dealer, and it has now made its way back to us for sale.

Key Features & Provenance

  • Full 100‑note pack: BL00000301A → BL00000400A
  • Original BEP band intact; never searched, never disturbed
  • San Francisco (L‑12) District — early low‑serial production
  • Third pack issued for the district
  • Pulled from a sealed brick of 1,000 at the Los Angeles FDC
  • Choice to Gem Uncirculated throughout the pack
  • First‑generation “Big Head” $10 design — the earliest modern anti‑counterfeit era

Embedded Star Notes (In‑Pack Replacements)

Two notes in the run were replaced at the BEP:

  • BL00000324A → replaced by BC00006829★
  • BL00000325A → replaced by BC00006830★

Both stars remain inside the pack, exactly where the BEP inserted them — a premium rarity for sealed low‑serial packs.

Minor Inking Errors Found Inside

During inspection, two notes were identified with insufficient serial‑number inking:

  • BL00000365A
  • BL00000366A

These light‑ink anomalies add extra collector interest without affecting the pack’s overall Gem appearance.

Why This Pack Matters

This is a low‑serial, first‑generation Big Head $10 pack, preserved in its original BEP configuration — a type that almost never survives intact. With embedded star replacements, early serials, and documented provenance tied to two #1 packs, this is a museum‑level keepsake for advanced FRN collectors.

Perfect for long‑term investment, registry‑grade holdings, or high‑end modern currency portfolios.
