FR-1937-* #12 2003 Series Two Dollar Federal Reserve STAR-NOTES. A limited set of just #2000 was sold to the public and sold in minutes. These were all low serial numbers in the range of 00000001*-00002000*. Each set had twelve notes one from each District printed. Offered here is the SERIAL #61 set. Each of the notes shown here are very choice uncirculated to gem uncirculated. All original and right out of the BEP book they came in….. which comes with this set offered here.
The serial #1 set was offered at one time for $275,000.00. It’s since been broken up. Those notes from that serial #1 set have brought as much as $25,000.00 + each. The single-digit sets have sold for upwards of $20,000.00. Offered here is a very rare set that will never be duplicated again. BEP had mentioned it was tireless to make these. They were custom to having matching serial numbers in the BEP showcase book. We don’t ever expect to see such a low serial and star note set to be offered ever again to the public as a District set like this. Many of these sets have been since broken up. Two-digit low serial numbered stars in the low serial range UNDER #100 have fetched $400.00-$600.00 + each. We have these priced at $350.00 each.
