FR-2017-G 1963A Series Ten Dollar Federal Reserve notes coming from the Chicago District. This set consists of ten consecutive notes having inking offsets caused by a torn sheet. So, the first note is 100 percent normal serial #71, from there the next #9 are not. The second note serial #72, was torn in half from the printed sheet… caused the mayhem of allowing that part of the printing PLATE #D9 to be exposed. This allowed ink making DARK transfers “FRONT TO BACK” “BACK TO FRONT” offsets… Not just one side…. BOTH!
Starting at serial #73 to #80. Dark to light transfers as the sheets got printed. This set contains the RIPPED NOTE that caused the multiple DUAL offsets.
It’s great when you have a torn note with an inking offset. How about one torn in half? with EIGHT OFFSETS?
