Fr- 2072-G 1977 Series Twenty Dollar Federal Reserve note coming from the Chicago District. A what the heck happened note? The printing process went haywire causing what we believe to have occurred was a sheet was torn in rotation, then having an over-print strike it. However, check out the over-print it’s TWO. The left side is the Green Treasury seal, right side is the Federal Reserve seal. Two different over-prints. Plus, there inverted on the piece of torn currency stock. At this point, it was in the process of getting seals and serial numbers. This was found inside of a pack of $20’s which was found outside of the Bureau of Engraving Printing. Third-party graded P.C.G.S #58PPQ Choice About Uncirculated with Premium Paper Quality. A wonderful-looking currency fragment. This note is pictured in the Error Encyclopedia 2nd Edition page #435.
