Description

The FR-1905-L 1969B Series One Dollar Federal Reserve Note originates from the San Francisco District and features a rare serial number with seven trailing zeros: L90000000A, or Ninety Million. These $1.00 FRNs were produced from the 1963 Series to the 1977A Series using a conventional press by the BEP. They disappeared from the 1977A Series to the 2006 Series but returned with the LEPE press #50 Subject sheets. Serial numbers like 10000000-9000000 have appeared on denominations of 1, 2, 5, 10, and 20 dollars. In uncirculated condition, these notes can exceed $2500, with earlier series fetching over $5000 depending on the series. Third-party graded examples like P.C.G.S #63PPQ, with premium paper quality and bright, well-centered designs, are particularly sought after. This early series 1969B is an excellent example of a highly desirable note with strong demand in all grades.
