FR-1526 1928A Series Five Dollar Legal Tender Note. This one sports a very low serial number for a red seal. D00000014A. Serial #14. These D-A Block low serial numbers as well as regular nonfancy serial numbers are known to be circulated. It’s not common in high grades.
Red seals are the 2nd rarest of low serial numbers to find versus an FRN or to say Silver Certificates. This note is one of about a dozen we have seen over the last #30 years of buying and selling fancies. We sold this note in the late 90s and bought it again around 2010 from unlimited currency that is no longer in the currency business. We are offering it once again. Circulated but still original and well worth the price of admission. This note has nice eye appeal, great color, and remains sharp despite the handling that is noticed. Third party graded P.C.G.S #35PPQ. Near extra fine grade with premium paper quality. Not a commonly offered note.
