Dallas DELUXE MATCH $2 Star-Non-Star Set

Dallas $2 Star Set Overview

This Dallas $2 Star Set combines two fascinating Federal Reserve Notes from the Dallas District. The set includes a Series 2003 $2 Star Note with serial number K00002003* and a Series 2003A $2 Federal Reserve Note with serial number K00002003A. Because both notes share the same serial digits, they create an impressive matched pair for collectors.

In addition, the serial number directly relates to the 2003 series designation. As a result, this set offers visual appeal as well as an interesting production story.

Why This Dallas $2 Star Set Is Rare

The Series 2003 issue was printed only as Star Notes. No regular block notes were produced for the Dallas District. Furthermore, the Dallas printing consisted of only about 16,000 notes.

The Series 2003A issue was very different. Approximately 12 million notes were printed for Dallas circulation. However, the Dallas District did not receive a corresponding Star Note run for the 2003A series.

Therefore, this Dallas $2 Star Set brings together two notes that represent very different production histories.
