1950D SERIES $10.00 FRN • PHILA • SUPER RADAR • C49999994C
A tough 1950D Series $10 Federal Reserve Note from the Philadelphia District, carrying a perfect C–C block and an extremely scarce super radar — C49999994C — with the nines locked in the center. This is the kind of early‑series radar pattern that almost never shows up, especially on a 1950D $10.
We graded this note Very Fine Plus, with two rounded corners on the right side but strong paper and solid eye appeal. The radar pattern is the star: a clean two‑digit super radar on an older series where fancy numbers were rarely saved.
The entire print run for this block — and the only block printed for Philadelphia — was just 19 million notes (C40xxxxxxC through C59xxxxxxC). Not a common series, not a common block, and absolutely not a common radar.
According to the Logan Talk Radar Census, this is the only known 2‑digit super radar on a 1950D Series $10. A true outlier and a premium fancy‑number piece for advanced collectors
