A dramatic major printing error from the Richmond District, showing a fully printed back but a pure white, completely blank face. The first print applied normally, the second print never hit the sheet, and the third print landed cleanly — leaving the entire face design missing. PMG graded the note 65EPQ Gem Uncirculated, confirming bright original paper, crisp embossing, and untouched surfaces.
This error almost certainly occurred when sheets stuck together during the second‑print face stage, allowing one sheet to pass through without receiving the face design. All 32 subjects on the sheet would have carried the same error, yet none were caught before cutting and packaging — a remarkable escape from BEP quality control.
