Serial QE30496629B This 2021 Series $100 Federal Reserve Note from the Richmond (E) District features an exceptionally dramatic backwards foldover error—a type of modern production mistake that rarely escapes today’s BEP quality controls. During printing, a large portion of the sheet folded backwards after the overprint was applied, causing the design to print across a misaligned, partially folded surface. The fold was so substantial that it pulled selvage from the top of the sheet directly onto the face of the note. While folded, nearly half of the note was covered, placing Big Ben on the reverse side—a striking and highly visual anomaly.
