1977 Series Five Dollar Federal Reserve note from the Atlanta District, serial F34963655A. The first and third prints are normal, but the second print clearly ran low on ink, giving it a ghostly, faded look. You’d think an uncut sheet of #32 with this kind of error would have been caught. We graded it Gem Uncirculated—though slightly off-center, left to right….. it could arguably rate a 64Q, but our call remains Gem. Fresh from the pack, it’s sharp, detailed, and striking in appearance. Face it….. Insufficient ink— not just a little, but a lot.
